Choosing the Perfect Quote for your Acrylic Trophy

Acrylic Warehouse Acrylic Trophy

Acrylic awards, trophies and plaques are an amazing way to highlight achievements, but adding a personalized laser engraving makes these tokens of hard work and excellence even more special. However, choosing the right words for your awards may feel like a daunting task. Don’t let writer’s block get in the way of the perfect award – here are a few best practices to keep in mind when writing the quotes for your customized awards:

Keep it Short and Sweet: Depending on the shape and size of the award you choose, you may have limited space to work with. All Acrylic Warehouse products are priced with four sentence lines of laser engraving free of charge, which is perfect for a brief, customized message for your award. If additional space is needed, the experts at Acrylic Warehouse can help you choose the best lasering solution.

Proofread your Quotes: Be mindful of capitalization, punctuation, spelling and line breaks when writing out your award copy. As a rule of thumb, it’s best to use traditional title capitalization rules for visual appeal and clarity (this includes capitalizing the first letter in the first word and last word, as well as the first letter of all nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs). Don’t forget to double check the spelling of names; it would be quite embarrassing if your recipient notices that their name is incorrect on their award!

Unsure? Stick with the “W”s: We recommend that your award list WHO it was awarded to, WHAT the reason for the award was for, WHEN the award was presented and WHERE the award came from.

Be True to Your Mission: Not all award situations are equal. If your organization is known to be light-hearted and informal, or if you are creating superlative awards for a silly or fun event, don’t be afraid to get creative. Similarly, if your organization has a meaningful motto, quote or mission statement, consider having it laser engraved onto your acrylic trophy.
